Hi
I am working in Message Broker in AIX for the first time. I have to install and configure Message Broker. Can you please santize and also modify/add to my understanding.
Environment: WMB 6.1 FP 2, WMQ 6.0 Latest FP, DB2 9.1 FP 3, DB2 Client FP 3. My DB2 Server resides in a remote partition (LPAR), AIX 5.3
This is what i understand needs to be done
create group mqm, mqbrkrs
create user mqm, bradmin (Service USer)
user mqm is part of group mqm
user bradmin is part of mqm, mqbrkrs, db2instanceowner group (in remote server where db2 server is located)
additionally bradmin (service user) in my partition should have access to create objects in the DB2 server (remote) set up.
1) Install WMQ, FixPacks. Create Queue Managers for Configuration Manager, Broker. Create Listeners for these queue managers on different ports
2) Install DB2 client, fixpack in the partition where WMB needs to be installed. DB2 Server resides in a remote partition.
3) Create a 64 Bit ODBC DSN using Catalog commands. Test connectivity with Remote DB2 Server
4) Install WMB, Fixpacks.
5) Set up environment variables. (can you please suggest what envrionement variables need to be set up and how?)
6) Initialize database instance in the remote partition by running . db2_instance_directory/sqllib/db2profile in the remote partition
7) Create Broker
8 ) Initialize WMB set up by running mqsiprofile . install_dir/bin/mqsiprofile
9) Configure Broker domain in the Message Broker Toolkit on a Windows Machine
Request your help
Thank You |

Have you read the Installation Documentation?
The steps are pretty straightforward.
If you have specific problems then there are people here who can help with them. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |
