Just have a few questions about installation/configuration.

1. Does a Configuaration Manager and Broker have a 1:1 relationship?

2. Can I run multiple Configuration Managers on the same NT box?

3. I need to run two Brokers on the same AIX box. I know I have to have unique qmgrs for each of these Brokers. I assume for the DB2 part I just create a different set of tables for the 2nd BROKER?

thanks.

1. A Broker can only be deployed to from one Config Mgr.
2. You can run only one Config Mgr on an NT server.
3. I think that multiple brokers on a machine are able to share a single Broker database, i.e. a single set of Broker tables. However my preference would be to create a separate database for each Broker.

Paul,

No you do not have to have a one to one relationship. On my Windows 2000 server, I have:

1 configuration manager talking to a unique WMQ manager, WMQ1

1 broker, broker1, talking to a unique WMQ manager, WMQ2

1 broker, broker2, talking to a unique WMQ manager, WMQ3.

Hope this helps,
