Hi,

has anyone experiences with missing brokers in the domain view. From time to time some of my 6.1 brokers get lost in the domain and only a restart of the configmgr fixes the problem. Also deployment takes a long time after configmgr is running for a longer time without restart.

environment:
6x Message Broker 6.1.0.2 on 6 serveral AIX Cluster. The underlying queue managers are all clustered.
1x ConfigMgr 6.0.1.2 on a seperate machine with derby db.

The ConfigMgr repository is sheduled backuped every night and for unknown reasons in some cases after the reboot there are only 2 or three brokers available in the domain. The number is inordinatly changing.

The only way to fix this is to restart the configmgr. Logs aren´t written on the configmgr side regarding this and there are no mq errors. I think there are some specific logs in the derby db but without any errors.

Can someone help me?

Do you stop the config mgr while it is being backed up?

Apply the latest 6.1.0.3 fixpack. There are some fixes in it that address slow CM response times and some other general synchronization issues.

Hi,

thanks so far. I know there are some issues fixed in the 6.1.0.3 Fp regarding slow response time while deploying flows to new generated execution group.

It would be helpful to see if the problem with the missing brokers is a known problem, cause I don´t want to update our whole production environment. Additionally our change requests are always slowed down by business , so it would tale a long time.

There was also a fix in v6.1.0.3 to improve response times between the CM and CMP applications (of which the toolkit is one). This could explain missing domain information in the toolkit.
Best bet would be try the fixpack and see. And then if the problem persists, raise a PMR.
