I am trying to perform an MQ upgrade on Linux box, however, I am not sure what version of MQ is currently installed. Is there a command to determine what version 32-bit or 64-bit is currently installed.

dspmqver produces the following output

Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 6.0.2.0
CMVC level: p600-200-060921
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)

Gives no mention of 32-bit or 64-bit

V6 should be a 64 bit version unless your OS is 32 bit only

There are two installations for Linux at the v6 level: 32-bit and 64-bit.

Look for /opt/mqm/lib64 or /var/mqm/exits64.

/opt/mqm/lib64 or /var/mqm/exits64

do exit on the file system, however there is also a /opt/mqm/lib present as well. Also there are no files in /var/mqm/exits64.

Does this confirm 100% that i have 64-bit MQ installed?

There would only be files in /var/mqm/exits64 if you put them there. The directory itself should not exist on a 32bit install.

If there are files in /opt/mqm/lib64, then this is a 64bit install.
