Hi guys,
First time posting and hoping you guys can help.
I have a MSCS environment for WEB. Recently we revamped our cluster in which originally there are 4 groups:
1) Cluster OS Group
2) DB2 group
3) MQ group
4) EB group
Due to the space constraints we decided to revamp to the following:
1) Cluster OS Group
2) EB Group
When I try mqsistop or mqsideletebroker for those broker/QM that were used previously, I was unable to do that as the settings are still pointing to the old groups which were not present anymore.
Well you can't just delete a broker / qmgr that was hardware clustered.
You need to remove them from the hardware cluster before deleting.
I would ask why did you want to delete them? Why not just remove from the old hardware cluster and have it join the new hardware cluster?
Have fun
Hi fjb_saper,
thanks for your reply and sorry for the late response.
I did remove them from MSCS before deleting them away. But they didn't allow me to.
Why deleting them? Because I pointed the logs at the old shared drives and after revamp, the old shared drives are not present any more. I felt this could create errors. So decided to delete and create new ones to point to the new shared drives.
Anyway I've overcame this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling MQ and Broker again on each node. The registry cleaned up and allow me to delete and create new ones to point to the new drives.
