I have a java process acting as a UPES server for MQ Workflow. On AIX using WF 3.5 and MQ 5.3 I am getting the following error:
FMC00013E Communication error - Failing Action: Connect_to_QM, Reason Code: 2103, Failing Object: QM04.
The java process is making a connection to QM01, and when process tries to use the workflow API it attempts to connect to the workflow server queue manager QM04. I am using SERVER connections and not Client connections to queue managers.
I understand that 2103 is the MQRC_ANOTHER_Q_MGR_CONNECTED error and that I am running into the restriction that connecting to two different Queue Managers within same thread and/or process is not allowed.
This same setup works fine on AIX with MQ 6.0 and WF 3.6. Was there a change in MQ 6.0 related to the connection to multiple Queue Managers?
Thanks,
Rick |

Does it work if you use a client-bound app? |

I can not test specifically on the system I am having the error (client owned system), but on other systems similar setup does work with client connections instead of server.
The MQ 6.0 and WF 3.6 environment I mentioned in initial post is using server connections. |
