Hi All,
Two day befor i found an exception on on of my AIX box for MQ ,
An exception is given below :
Hi,
An exception has been found
By the Daemon - MQ Process Monitor
For the MQ Object - MQReceiver.
with the component ps -ef |grep MQReceiver
The status of this object is - MQReceiver is Down at Date: 2008-11-07 Time :20:39:59 and the severity is HIGH.
Can anybody help me on this issue?
How to start the daemon ? How MQREICEVER is up?

It seems to indicate the reciever isn't running. It's possible that someone stopped it rather than it crashed.
I'd guess that if you simply restart the listener the alert daemon will stop complaining. Are you saying that the listener keeps stopping? If so, what does the queue manager log say? Are there any FDC files? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The QM are running fine and listener is also running fine.
But how come this exception found ?

"MQReceiver" is some app thing specific to your environment. MQSeries does not have a component called "MQReceiver".
So we can't tell you what that message means because we don't know what your "MQReceiver" is doing or should be doing. _________________ Peter Potkay

As PeterPortkay said, it's some kind of local component so no one here is going to know.
I'd theorise it's some kind of script component that's encapsulating the listener command, but that's just a theory. Place to start looking perhaps? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
