Hi,

I am getting this error when i start config manager on Windows. it was working fine and all of a sudden started giving this error.

I have seen some previous post which has some info on Unix servers. Any idea how to fix it in Windows?

BIP7064S: Failed to create Java VM -1.
The broker creates a Java Virtual Machine to support internal operations, but in this case has been unable to do so. There may have been a problem with the way the product was installed, or something has subsequently affected the installation.
This is an internal error and you should contact your IBM support center.

BIP8074E: Unable to create a JVM.
A Java Virtual Machine could not be created.
Ensure that the Java CLASSPATH variable is correct and that it is not too large,
ensure that the Java runtime executable (JRE) shipped with the product is in its correct directory.

Did somebody install a new version of Java yesterday?
Maybe in such a way that the new version comes up in the PATH before the broker version?

I never said you had. I asked if you'd checked them.

Victor,
i checked them and class path is same as what i have in other system which is working fine.

I think Saper's response has the key to the issue. Well.. i didnt wait for the issue to be resolved and did a reinstallation. Shortest fix for any problem
Since it was a dev environment its fine.

I had updated the JRE in between. May be that screwed it up. is there any best practice for JRE upgrades?

Thanks much for all your responses.

Regards,
jeeth

So when you said in a previous post "I havnt touched those values in a long time" you meant "apart from when I changed the JRE"??

Don't chop logic with me - I have a black belt in banter!

The JRE didn't change itself; don't absolve yourself in this.
