Hi


Some trigger process are running continously since several months unix servers so the file system usage getting full.the usage is 90%
and wen i killed the process den the file system came down to 32%

Here i have used the command lsof path

Please let me know how only killing process will helpful to reduce the file system usage here?

Sounds like the triggered processes were looping, and when cancelled their activity was rolled back.

Exactly what process (name) did you kill? Was it one of your application programs? If so, it likely was in an endless loop MQPUTting messages to a queue. Queues occupy space on the filesystem.
