Hello,
I will be upgrading WebSphere MQ v5.3 to v6.0 on an AIX system. The quick beginnings manual does not mention recommended kernel parms like it does with HP_UX and Solaris. Are there any recommended settings?

Not in particular for MQ, but pay attention to the File Descriptor and System Resource Limits mentioned in the Quick Beginnings.

| Oh, seems like a great tool. It would have saved us a lot of pain at my last job dealing with AIX resource problems for MQ. |

Thank you for the info on the mqconfig script! This will be very helpful! In the documentation it says AIX kernel parms are self-tuning. Again, I learned something new today!!
