I have gotten the following error during 3 attempts to enable SSL for channels between z/OS and AIX.

+CSQX620E +ZOSMQ CSQXRCTL System SSL error,
channel ZOSMQ.AIXMQ,
function 'gsk_secure_soc_init' RC=-22

My question is, where do I get the meaning of -22? I googled for it, no luck, only found some other RC, eg. -27, and it was mentioned that the values of RC are defined in gskssl.h file.

My 2nd question is, where to get a copy of gskssl.h file? Googled, nothing.

Thanks.

Hi,

I found the documentation where the RC -22 is explained :
-22 Socket closed by remote partner.
Explanation: The remote partner closed the socket.
User response: None.

I hope it will help you.

Thanks riaudlaine. Though the description in the book does not tell anything useful, it's good to have a reference.

hi,

this error code let us thinking that the problem is located on aix side, do you have any FDC, error log messages on the aix box ?

I don't have any error log now. But the probable cause is that their labels of their CERTs in their kdb are not in lower cases.

we have tested again in DRP environment and it was successful. We will try to activate SSL in production environment shortly. Hope there will be no problem this time.

Thanks .
