Hi ,

The specified hour inside the message is specified as GMT , does anybody know a way to change it to French hour (GMT + 2 for summer or GMT +1 in Winter) ?

Thank you for your help .

As I understand it (using Windows as reference point), the GMT calculation is based on the local time of the machine hosting the Queue Manger. So, if you are putting a message onto a queue hosted by a Queue Manger on a machine in Paris, the MQMD PutDate and PutTime are converted to GMT based on the time (Standard or DST) on the Paris machine. So, you don't have to do anything and the correct GMT calculation will take place.

You can provide your own values by setting them in the MQMD prior to a MQPUT and setting the MQPMO_SET_ALL_CONTEXT field in the PMO.

If you google I'm sure there is a timezone conversion routine somewhere on the net that will fit your programing language.

You want to do the conversion on MQMD PutDate & PutTime after getting the msg? If yes, it is purely an application programming issue, and nothing to do with MQ itself.

If your apps are all in the same time zone and you want to deal with local time, it is probably better to have the applications include it as part of the message data.
