In MQ7 it is said you can load the messages to the Qmgrs basing on Client Channel Weight CLNTWGHT() .Clinet should able to load the messages to the Qmgr where Client Channle has more weight.
If both Client Channel has same weight example 5 on both Qmgrs then Clinet should able to load the messages equally to the both the Qmgrs.

When I tested it didn't happen to me.Can any body throw some light on this.

I thought CCTD is for failover. But in WMQ7 it looks like we can do load balance between qmgrs if we use weights. Is it correct.

If the AFFINITY attribute of the connection is set to PREFERRED, the first connection chooses a channel definition according to client weightings, and then subsequent connections will continue to use the same channel definition.

Peter, Thanks for info

It means ...Client connection will connect and load the messages to Qmgr where Client Channel weight is more...In case this Qmgr is down then only Client will connect to the Second Qmgr.

So client won't be able to distribute the load between Qmgrs basing on weights..Is it correct.

Thank you

I was able to load the messages to two quemanagers using OneClient Channel Table using CLNTWGHT() when two Qmgrs are active.

So now Client Channel Table can do the Load distribution also.

Thank you
