I came across reports that can be generated by MQ.
- Exception Report
- Expiry Report
- Confirm on Delivery report (COD)
- Confirm on Arrival report (COA)
- Positive action notification (PAN)
- Negative action notification (NAN)
A sending application will use the Report field of the message to specify which report is required. Can more than 1 report be requested?. Among all the report which is the most highly used report?. |

Report options are part of the Message Descriptor (MQMD) that the programmer puts to the queue along with the application data.
Please refer to the MQMD portion of the WMQ Application Programming Reference manual for details on what these report messages are for, and how to request them. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

From my reading MQMD header contains the Report field and this field is a bitwise field whereby when a bit is set it has a special meaning. So the bit can be MQRO_PAN and so on. |
