Suppose I start a queue manager and I receive an error message saying that the queue manager is not found. The possible problem is with the file mqs.ini. This is because the mqs.ini file holds data associated with the queue manager such as the location of the files associated with the queue manager, the names of the queue managers and also the names of the default queue managers. But what are the possibilities that the mqs.ini file being corrupted?.

The usual culprit is the sysadmin who (incorrectly) edits/alters the mqs.ini file; or alters the filesystem permission (RWX) bits such that someone or something overwrites the mqs.ini.

there might be a chance for mqs.ini file may get corrupted...but as a better practice, always maintain copy of all mq system files ...it will help us to overcome situation like this..
