Box 1 (Remote Queue, Local Queue & QMA) to Box 2 (QMA) to Box 3 (QMA) to Box 4 (Local Queue, Remote Queue & QMA)
Messages are to travel from Box 1 to Box 4 and from Box 4 to Box 1. In Box 1 the QMA is pointing to Box 4 where else in Box 4 the QMA is pointing to Box 1. Is this done to ensure that there is connectivity? |

Too confusing ...
Your QMA's are not interchangeable and potentially alias a different qmgr in each box... and yes a QMA is used for routing purposes _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

That's the thing. I am required to create this QMA. From my understanding it is used for connectivity testing. Any idea?.
For example:
Box 1 - Queue Manager (HK1)
Box 4 - Queue Manager (SG1)
Now the QMA in Box 1 is pointing to SG1 and the QMA in Box 4 is pointing to HK1. |

A queue manager alias is used to remap a Queue Manager name.
Please read about QMAs in the WMQ Intercommunications manual.

Creating one is easy. By definition, a QMA is a QR definition without the RNAME attribute.
What requirement? What problem is being addressed? What purpose is the QMA to serve? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
