Got this question from an associate.

Would you happen to know of any installations that are successfully running WMQ V7.0 on AIX. If so - what version of AIX?

Bobbee, I assume you know the supported versions of AIX for MQ 7, and are looking for real life war stories, good or bad, about MQ 7 on AIX? (I don't have any.)

Of course, how much credence can you put into what some random stranger posts out there. "I have MQ 7.0 running on 300 AIX servers. Works great and my cholesteral went down too!"

I think I would wait until MQ 7.0.0.1 was released later this year. For anyone even asking this question they probably wouldn't roll out the GA version of any software package.

It all got drunk, and then we sobered up!

Or, as someone once said to me: "Cynicism is often confused with hard won, and bitter experience".

Do you have an environment to test it in?
Bleeding edge or not I would not promote a version to production that Hadn't been tested
