How can I enter the various mqsc commands on the z/os platform?

The mq admin panels will allow you to perform most of the mqsc functions, but I would also like to be able to execute the commands too.

Location: US: west coast, almost. Otherwise, enroute.

You can use the mvs console to issue MQSC commands, or SDSF console-equivalent.

From the console, the type console prefix for the qmgr (MQ01MSTR), for example: +MQ01 and the MQSC command:

+MQ01 DISPLAY CHS(*)

From SDSF, prefix all this with a slash:

/+MQ01 DISPLAY CHS(*)

You can use SupportPac MS0S running in WebSphere MQ Explorer v6 to send MQSC commands to a zOS queue manager.

The MO71 Support Pack allows you to do this as well. Keeps you off those scary TSO panels!

Not. But its command line counter part, MO72, does.
