Hi,
I foud the queue manager is was stopped state. So I tried to to start the queue manager, it was starting and looks running fine.
When I tried to check why the queue manager stopped in the queue manager error log. I could nt find out the queue manager folder.
Its looking empty /var/mqm/qmgrs folder, only @SYSTEM is there.
Could any one tell me why?
Is it possible, the queue manager folder may reside in some other path.
Thanks. |

Check the qm.ini file for paths. If SupportPac MC91 has been used to carry out an HA install, the path will (generally) have /MQHA/.... somewhere in the path.
I would hazard a guess, from the information given, that it is not HA (or not done in the way I'm used to seeing it) as the server name is included in the path.
What symlinks are there?
EDIT: I've been on one site where workloads were used, which meant the install of WMQ was 'odd' - by which I mean that the usual paths were 'empty' and symlinks appeared to trace back from the workload rather than to it. Apologies if this explanation seems a bit convoluted, hopefully someone more eloquent (and familiar with workloads) can help...I never did get my head around it. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Umm.. /MQHA parameter could be a best practice but I did not find in the setup I worked.
Just see where the symbolic link /var/mqm/qmgrs... points to in actual and find your qm.ini file.
Or else, you can use the find command to list down the file structure. I assume you know how to use the find command.
Yes, if you have symbolic links to ur qmgr directories then I am 99% sure you would have a HA (or HACMP) enabled. I don't see any other use for this kind of setup. _________________ *forgetting everything * |
