The info center says this:

MaxChannels=100|number
You can still use this stanza, but it is now ignored. Your system resources are the only constraint on the number of channels you can define.
MaxActiveChannels=MaxChannels_value
The maximum number of channels allowed to be active at any time. The default is the value specified on the MaxChannels attribute.

If the stanza is ignored it would seem that MaxActiveChannels is ignored also. Is this true? If so, it seems the info center statement that the default MaxActiveChannels=the value specified on the MaxChannels attribute is incorrect.

Umm.. haven't seen that happening though.. It still slaps you with an error whenever you hit max channels.
