I have to install MQ 6.0.2.4 on a new server that will be clustered.
I've read the MC91 support pac doc and I just want to verify that I know what I'm doing.
Is is just as straight-forward as:
1 - Install MQ on each server in the cluster.
2 - Install the MC91 support pac on each server in the cluster
Any other advice, tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. _________________ Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dude |

Veritas has an MQ Agent. MC91 is not supported. When things go wrong, you might feel better being able to go to Veritas and throw it at them. IBM could close ur PMR with "We don't support Cat 2 Support Packs."
The Veritas MQS Agent is based off of the MC91 Support Packs, with the addition of the amqiclen.sh built in. From what I've read. I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I've installed MQ 6.0.2.4 on both nodes of the Veritas cluster.
I ran the hacrtmqm command on the active node and created the queue manager. It came up with the following message:
Code: |
bash-3.00# ./hacrtmqm -lc -lp 5 -ls 5 -u DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE QM.APP1P.01
WebSphere MQ queue manager created.
Creating or replacing default objects for QM.APP1P.01.
Default objects statistics : 40 created. 0 replaced. 0 failed.
Completing setup.
Setup completed.
The halinkmqm script will now be run on this machine. On other
machines which will potentially takeover this queue manager you
must run the following command while logged on as "mqm".
halinkmqm QM.APP1P.01 QM!APP1P!01 /MQHA/QM.APP1P/data
/bin/ksh: ./halinkmqm: cannot open
bash-3.00# |
I know I don't have to run halinkmqm on the active node because the hacrtmqm script does it for you. However, mine looks like it failed.
Also, I tried to run the above halinkmqm command on the passive node and get the same 'cannot open' error.
Any ideas? _________________ Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dude |

I was just going to edit my post with:
"What a dope! Permissions. How did I miss that!"
Thanks! Nothing a little chmod mqm +r ha* couldn't fix! _________________ Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dude |
