Hi , I am developing a bar file on Windows with WMB 6.1 and deploying it on AIX box. Whenever I execute the application on aix, it creates the the trace file with '^M' character at the end of each line of the trace file. Here my trace file is user specific like have choosed the option - 'FILE' in the property box of TRACE file node.

Pls Let me know , what need to be set for avoiding ^M .

Thanks n Regards

The end of line characters come when you transfer the files across different operating systems. Change the option from ASCII to Binary (or other way around) when you FTP the file and you will get rid of ^M.

This is normal. You created your text file on windows with CRLF. You had it packaged in the bar file and you transferred that as a binary file to unix.
If you now extract your text file in Unix/Linux it still has CRLF instead of LF.
So it will display ^M at the end of the line. I have not seen it matter anywhere.

Enjoy
