Hi all

Having a look at the installation of the ma88 package on Solaris for MQ5.2, I saw these lines at the end of the postinstall.sh script :

chmod 2777 /var/mqm/java/log 2> /dev/null
chmod 2777 /var/mqm/java/trace 2> /dev/null

Why are they doing this ? What is the feature of having the group id bit set on these directory, where nothing has (normally) to be executed ?

Regards
Alain
