Hello,
Iget the problem, that I can't start more than 3 QMGR on a Solaris 10 System.
It is installed in a zone (like a VM) not in the global.
The defrinition crtmqm works properly, only the start of the 4th. QMGR results in an error.
Any hints?
The error meessages and configuration parameters see below.
MQSeries Queue Management starting.

EXPLANATION:
MQ detected an unexpected error when calling the operating system. The MQ error
recording routine has been called.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.

This is a known problem and has to do with the new things added in Solaris 10 like regions. If you search the forum there was a suggested work around some ways back. IIRC it had to do with changing a Solaris system parm...

Solaris 10 defines the usage of shared memory in a definition called project.
The description to define this in /etc/project I found here

Check with coommand dspmqcap. how many processors are licensed.
otherwise you have to set it using setmqcap command.
you must use the setmqcap control command to declare the number of processors for which you have purchased license units. For information about how to use the setmqcap command, see the WebSphere MQ System Administration Guide. |

This hasn't been a requirement since MQ 5.3.
