Had anyone faced this problem like broker dumping a core file which contains the .profile settings and followed by machine language strings.
It is nearly 10MB file getting created and occupies most of the disk space.
What could be the reason for it........I was monitoring it like a month and found when a execution group abends it is creating it.......How do we stop it dumping that huge file..
Core files are created at the time of abend. They are usually the size of the process in memory (which is > 10 MB). The command ulimit lets you change some settings on core file. I recommend that you use the setting as mentioned in the info center. The generation of core files indicates that there is a contact admin problem. Don't try to stop the generation of the core file but try to fix the problem. Depending on the operating system there are tools that allow you to analyze the core files.
