I have the technote for the beginners guide for setting up MQ with MSCS. However I am skeptical. Nowhere in that technote is the problem of network IP switching discussed. Is there more detailed documentation on this subject somewhere? My concerns are for:

monitoring of servers and queue managers and automatic failover in the event of problems

on failover the SVRCONNs and Sender/Receivers need to operate on the same IP (necessitating the use of VIPs?).

On Unix IBM has reasonable support for HA config via a support pac (IC91?). Does IBM provide any in depth documentation for setting up and running HA MQ on Windows servers via MSCS?

There is a whole chapter on MQ and MSCS in the System Admin Guide. Support for MQ and MSCS is official and in the base product. It works well.

Officially, MC91 and IC91 are not supported. They are Cat 2 Support Packs.

The System Administration manual has a section dedicated to MSCS - Supporting the Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS)
