Hi guys!
I've been trying to install the WTX package to use maps in my message flows but have so far been unable to find the needed plugins.
From what I've understand there's supposed to be a toolkit folder under the $WTXInstallDir/wmqi directory, but I just cant find it after installing a bunch of different WTX distributes. I've tried with:
WTX Design Studio
TX for Integration Servers
TX SDK
TX with Command Server
(all on version 8.2.0.2 / win)
but none of the packages installs the needed plugin nodes.
Has the installation setup been altered recently or am I missing something?
On a side note..
How is the runtime mode for WTX for Integration Servers executed by the message broker? Does it call out to a WTX server or is it an enhancement to the execution groups which does the mapping transformations locally on the same host as the broker?
<edit>
In my frustration I neglected to first ask the ultimate source of knowledge, the MQSeries "search" button.
My problem still resists though, even after starting the toolkit with -clean, anyone else who've had the same problem?
And I'm still curious about the answer to my second question.

I'm having the similar problem, and can't find any installation instruction for WTX 8.2.0.2 on MB 6.1.0.2
Can anyone help?
Thanks! |

Actually I got this to work, but only after a few reinstalls of the same package (WTX 8.2.0.2 Integration Servers) .
It then popped up automatically after I did a -clean when I started the WMB Toolkit.
I'm still searching for a good explanation of the "map server location" property and what it does.
My POC is to fetch the needed map or information concerning it (name etc) from WSRR, use WTX to map the message based on client/server requirements and then route it accordingly based on WSRR info.
From what I can tell right now it seems I have to fetch it, store it using a fileoutput node and then refer to the local filestructure in the LocalEnvironment.WTX tree which the WTX node would use to overide the preset settings on the node.
Is there an easier way to acheive this scenario? Maybe fetch the map from a server using the above mentioned "map server location" property?
All in all I have to give some criticism to the lack of documentation regarding the WMB/WTX combo. Aside from a couple pages and samples I haven't been able to find any good reference on which options are available. _________________ IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Message Broker V6.1

Check README_IS.TXT that comes with the binaries for installation instructions. |
