I am having the error 2035 using mq client to get to the qmgr, I have given all the permissions to the user over the qmgr and the queues, and the logs are not showing anything. This is happening on iseries, mq 5.3.13, and I am trying to connect the mo71 to it.
The only difference I've seen is that when I use an existing channel it gives 2035 which is not authorized, but when I use a non existing channel it gives 2059, QMgr not available.
Any ideas ? |

Have you set an MCAUSER on the channel? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

if he's getting a 2035 he MUST be connecting - so his MQSERVER or channel table or whatever is correct. |

Does the server channel have an MCAUser defined on it? |

Only on Windows does MQ write info related to 2035s into the AMQERR* logs.
Turn on Authority Events for the QM and then look at the messages in the SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT queue. It will tell you what ID is failing during what action (connect, open, etc.) against what MQ object (queue, QM, etc). _________________ Peter Potkay
