Hi,
We're doing a plan to use MQWF V3.3.2 for AIX to build some workflow models. In this case, we only have one AIX machine which will serve as development environment, system test environment , user acceptance test environment and training environment.
Please advise this is possible. We suggest to use different MQWF databases for each environment. If this is possible, please advise how can be done at high level is fine.
Thanks and regards, |

Hi,
It is better to have seperate machines but you can have different environments setup on the same machine as well.
By default when you configure MQWF, the configuration identifier is FMC, Change this appropriately like DEV for development, UAT for User Acceptance etc.
Other thing need to take care is the channel definition file, Save it with different name depending on the configuration indentifier, which needs to point to the correct Queue Manager.
Hope this will be of help to you.
Regards

Some tips.
When transferring from 1 environment to another you need to delete from export fdl file info about SYSTEM GROUP and SYSTEM.
Thus the default values for this environment will be taken.
This aplies to UPES and STAFF definitions.
About channel definition table. I'm not sure that there is an obligation to use different ones. I think channel definition table can contain info about multiple qmanagers, doesn't it ? _________________ Regards.
