Hi, I am newbie to clustering and facing some issues while configuring a cluster between a Windows and a Solaris based machines. So can you please clear up some of my doubts -
1. Is it even possible to set-up a multi-platform MQ custer? Because I read on a few sites that it isn't possible.
2. If it is possible, can you please provide me some link which guides me through the configuration.
3.And finally how do I give a Windows user the rights to access the MQ objects on the remote Solaris box? Because I believe that would be required to make both QMs part of the same cluster.
Kindly help. |

1. a MQ cluster can be set up over multiple plattforms
2. read the queue manager clusters manual, there are samples in there.
3. why do you believe that? what mq manuals have you read so far? read the concepts and planning guide, read the intercommunication guide, read the first staps and administration manuals, and read the security manual, then read the rest of the manuals. then read your question again about security on distributed queueing. _________________ Regards, Butcher |

I'd stay off those sites! _________________ Peter Potkay
