Hi guys,

we have about 30 QMs in our prod environment and of 12 of them are repos(min 2 are sufficient as per ibm but we have two clusters). Every 80 days i am refreshing the cluster in all full repos QMs. But this is taking lot of time to refresh all full repos QMs.(by logging in to that mechine and run the commands). Is there a shortest way to refresh all full repos QMs.

Regards

You should not run the REFRESH command unless you have a specific reason to. What do you think it accomplishes?

You should not have more than 2 Full Repositories per cluster unless you have a specific reason to. More is not better. In fact it can be worse. Its been discussed here before.

Hi peter,
Thanks for the reply.
I agree with you. As per Ibm min recommended is two full repos. we have two cental brokers (full repos QMs) and others are front ends, backends. Some of them are made full repos thinking we have advantage having more full repos.

secondly i am refreshing the QM repository as the information is expired in three months( reference IBM manual). some times when we forgot to refresh
we have no objects visible in the QM and no mq communication. we have WMQ 5.3 with csd12 and not yet upgraded to V6.

Regards

You do not ever need to refresh the cluster manually. The cluster will refresh itself automatically.

Unless you have more than two cluster repositories, and have therefore caused cluster fragmentation.
