Inside the BlockIP2 download you will find a .c file you have to compile this file on your Sun Sparc machine using the gcc compiler or the other c compiler as per the instructiuon in the pdf manual also supplied in the download, solaris is the only platform that doesn't come with precompiled binaries for BlockIP2. the manual is very informative on how to doall that is necessary for either 32 bit or 64 bit platforms. Enjoy!! |

Cos i is super helpful today, for you - the installation for SPARC solaris is on page 9 of the manual and shows you how to unpack the file and the permissions you need to apply. Compilation is detailed on page 32 for x86 solaris and on page 33 for SPARC and the gcc compiler and same for the cc compiler in both 32 bit or 64 bit modes. These commands have even been mapped for you you just need to cut and paste, apart form coming over there and doing it for you what else do you need.
Read the manual front to back its worth it to unbderstand the options available to you, its not compliated but it is very configurable and you need to decide what you want to implement.
Enjoy |
