Hi I'm now planning build Windows Server2003+MQ cluster enviroment.
This is the first time for us to create MQ cluster env.
In case of other Windows env we use NTbackup to full-backup and full-restore.
I`m want to use NTbackup to full-backup and full-restore to maintenance the server.
scenario of full-restore is
On nommal condition WindowsServer#1 and WindowsServer#2 works
If WindowsServer env or MQcluster env changes our maintenance-team will full-backup the server
1.WindowsServer#1 down
2.MQ will still works at WindowsServer#2
3.Restore WindowsServer+MQcluster env using NTBackup full-restore
4.When restore end power on the WindowsServer#1
5.Go to nommal condition
You are mixing concepts here: Hardware cluster (MSCS) and MQ Cluster.
They serve different purpose and work differently.
Learn to separate them and ask your question again. _________________ MQ & Broker admin
I'm planning to build MQ-Cluster with 3 full repository QueueManager
(QM1,QM2,QM3).
I just want to know how to recover MQ-Cluster
and what will happen when one of QueueManger is down.
question for recovery
When one of QueueManger(QM2) machine's OS down.
Is it posible to recover the machine from full-backup(this contains OS,QueueManger).
question for QueueManager down
When one of QueueManger(QM2) machine is down.
Can I stll send the message to QM3 from QM1
