Simply change it under the qmgr ==> properties ===> extended |

There is no default dead-letter queue. You must alter the qmgr DEADQ attribute to tell the qmgr which queue to use as a dead-letter queue.
There are a fleet of SYSTEM.DEFAULT... objects created when a qmgr is created. These are not defaults in the sense that they will be used by the qmgr or its components if the sysadmin doesn't do his/her job. These so-called default objects are used as templates for creating objects - the new objects take on the attributes of the DEFAULT objects.
IMHO, IBM should have called these objects something like SYSTEM.TEMPLATE... That would be a clue as to their use. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

And having an object called SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE just confuses the issue further... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
