There can be very many factor that can affect performance of a message flow. Is there anything specific you are trying in your msg flow that causes you worry ?

The biggest factor in performance of a message flow is the message flow developer.

The second biggest factor is trying to code for performance without having procedures to test the performance or having clear performance requirements.
