Hi,

I have been asked to findout some solution for integration assignment.

Our customer is using mq, message broker and also connecting to external systems like SNA, PeopleSoft..... using client adapters and message transformation, filtering is also there.

Could you please suggest how we can deisgn above integrate solution above using some SOA based components (mq, message broker will be there).

How can we connect to external systems using simple way without spending lots money in the infrastructure (like buying hardware for soa based infrastructure)....Also I need your suggestion to design this integration without using enterprise service bus as it is very expensive and not affordable...Please suggest any alternative instead of ESB.

Thanks

Manish...

"In fear of opening up a can of the proverbial"..

The customer is already using MQ / Broker for connecting to external systems? Then why are you redesigning the integration?
Integration without an ESB implemented using Broker/MQ? Or without Websphere ESB?
Your alternative could turn into spaghetti.
Implementing an ESB (although from the sound of it, the customer is already halfway their with their software products) could cost more in the short term, but in the long term it should pay for itself.

Do they already have hardware that this is running on, then is there a need to buy a new "SOA based infrastructure"?

Right back to my day job...

How much is too expensive? Did you know that MB has lower priced entry offerings nowadays? Talk to your IBM rep.

I believe there are three editions for MB now

1) WMB - Starter Edition
2) WMB - Resource Adaptor Edition (i'm not quite sure about this name)
3) WMB - Enterprise/Standard Edition
