Hi,

It doesn't clear what the 'Queue Agent' is doing and what is the scan.

Quote -
"Due to the way messages on a JMS destination are processed, it is possible for messages to arrive behind the Queue Agent. These messages will not be detected until a new scan is started.

Setting the tuning parameter to a low value will ensure that the Queue Agent will not wait for very long before starting the scan again. This means that messages that have arrived behind the Queue Agent will be detected quicker."

Also Is there a reason they don't set the eoqTimeout to 0 by default (i.e., What are the 'down side artifacts' of setting it to 0)?

Will appreciate a more detailed explanation for that.
