Hello,
I want to know if i can use this version of MQseries to execute a stored procedure or insertr statement into Oracle 10; i want to create a MQ message to be invoqued in an IVR that inserts a record in a table in oracle.
Is this possible and easy to do?
Thanks. |

Not sure, but possibly Oracle AQ might be of help to achieve what you want...happy to be put right (or wrong!) _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

exerk is right, I think!
MQ can't make a call to Oracle, but using Oracle AQ and Oracle Messaging Gateway, Oracle can act as a client to MQ. So data could be retrieved from MQ for further processing by Oracle. |

Thank you SAFraser!
I used Oracle AQ and its messaging Gateway once...they do talk to each other, I'm just not sure whether the combination will do what alfplaza wants. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
