From my understanding we can use either a cluster or a RQD. The use of cluster enable us to create a new queue manager in the cluster without disrupting the network. Apart from that each queue manager in the cluster can talk to each others local queue. However RQD only does indirect routing of messages from the source to the destination queue manager. Is this correct?.

clustering is done of queue managers and cluster provide many more feature then just enabling one to talk to queues of other queue manager without creating RQD..

We don't disrupt network even when add another QM in P2P scenerios..

Provided the local queue of other queue manager is shared in the cluster

Perfect
