We are using WMB6.1. Is there a way we could query SAP tables from the WMB apart from using IDOC's or BAPI calls. We have a requirement to read a SAP table and get a single field from it.
Thank You,

Hi kirankinnu,
What do you mean by SAP table, the SAP database that you are using ? If yes, then ofcourse you should be able to access the Db from MB...

This problem is solved.
Using the adapter connection Wizard we could configure to query the SAP tables. You have to select 'Query Interface for SAP software' under the Configuration settings for Discovery Agent panel while creating the new Adapter Connection. From there you have to select the desired table and fileds...

Use the "Start from adapter connection" option in the top left,
Choose the adapter for SAP software (6.1),
Select Outbound (although it feels like an inbound),
Enter your longon details an select a "SAP interface name" of "Query interface for SAP software (QISS)",
Click on QISS on the next screen and press the filter button above it,
In the popup box, enter the name of the table (or part of the name surrounded with *),
You table should now be shown - double click on it,
Select the fields you want and the where clause if wanted. |
