From my understanding we use TDE to implement a reliable file transfer. It overcomes the limitation of FTP that is having to start all over again if a session and file transfer fails. But why do we use TDE along with MQSeries?.

From my understanding, when the size of the file to be transferred is very huge in MQ, then we use TDE along with MQ to split the huge file into chunks and then trasfer easily. The TDE receiver on the other end receives the chunks and then arranges it to a single file. Hope this clarifies your point.
