Hey folks ,
Is there a tool or script which I can use to delete specific number of messages from a queue. For example , a queue which have 1000 messages and I need to delete message # 170 through #888 . What is the best way in doing this? . We are using Qpasa right now but it is taking forever to browse the queue and select the messages then wait for a while before the messages get deleted. We are looking for a faster way . Not sure if there is an easier way from the command line or a script which I can run. Please advice .

MQExerciser (beta version for release 5) does this. You can specify various parameters... start with message number 73 for count of 1000 messages, also specify a filter for message contents.
Graphical interface for a windows based application.

MQ Visual Edit can delete specific message(s) in a queue.

| mqtimes2 from IH03 can delete specified number of messages by destructive read but i believe it does read the first n number of messages |
