Dear all
we have the following parameters:
Websphere MQ 6.0.1 on solaris
Java/JMS
Publish/Subscribe
Several topics
2 identical environments: integration and production platform.
(We do not have the possiblity to connect with an MQ explorer, we use runmqsc ... and q-tool).
We have (so far) just 2 publishers and 2 subscribers.
The applications do not have a problem, they work fine, messages can be published and consumed.
The problem:
On the production platform: all messages for 1 topic remain in the queue 'SYSTEM.D.JMS.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE' even the only existing consumer consumes all messages.
On the integration platform: all messages for 2 topics remain in the queue 'SYSTEM.D.JMS.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE' even the only existing consumer consumes all messages.
All messages with other topics are removed from the queue after the were delivered to the subscriber.
What might be the problem?
We have tried to solve the problem by deleting all JMS queues and all of our queues and created them again.
It seems, that we might have connected with an additional subscriber id and so MQ 'thinks', that this subscriber once connects again and then wants to consume these messages.
How can we get all subscribers that are registered? How can one remove a subscriber? |

You can use amqspsd to see what the broker thinks it has in the way of subscribers. |

Solution (I do not know, if it is the best....):
We deleted the content of queues SYSTEM.BROKER.IQ.1.* |

I'm not sure that deleting messages from a SYSTEM queue would ever be considered 'best'. Did you browse the messages on the queue first to see if you could tell what they might be? |
