Can you upgrade the MQ Client component independently? Or is it part of the firmware?

Part of the firmware... can't upgrade independently... OH PS. make sure you get in your certificate upgrade before june 8, 2008

you cant upgrade the firmware, you have to ship to US. contact your IBM Sales Rep

huh??? I'm not sure this is correct - you can upgrade the firmware level as an admin of the box... are you suggesting you need to ship to the US if you want to upgrade the licensing!?

upgrading the Datapower can be done,
for adding the Database configuration details as such cant be done. (this is what i meant) sorry for confusing you..

Hi,
I upgraded the Datapower firmware succesfully as the per the URL
https://www14.software.ibm.com/iwm/web/swg-datapower/index.shtml
We bought two datapower boxes one for test and one for production. The production box is not yet configuredas we are still testing.
Is it mandatory to configure the DP production box before 9 june.

Every DP box that you do not want to ship back to IBM should be updated before June 9.

Thanks for the update,
We do not have proper support from IBM , I have been assigned a task to update the datapower from June 9th.
I am ware that it is possible to connect to the data power using a laptop and a serial cable and only upgrade the firmware.
Please provide any link on how to connect the DP with the serial cable and upload the new firmware.

you can upgrade the firmware by connecting through the webgui as well...
june 9th is when the old cert expires...
