Hi All,
Can the broker "service userid password" be different from the OS login password for the same userid?
Today I changed the OS userid password but did not change the broker service password. I bounced the broker and things worked fine.
Am i missing on something here.
OS --> Sun Solaris

I am sure u ell have issues especially if u have any database node and u use the same ID to access the db. U may find the problem if u stop / start the service, did u try that?

Yes, I did stop the broker using mqsistop command.
After changing the unix user password, I simply restarted the broker. Everything was up and running.
I did not change any password for the database. |

Have u tested the flow? Still working?  . It may not work, it may be throwing error, If u have checked the flow and still no error means,  I am confused.

The message flows are also running fine.
Even I am confused. Any ideas where the errors (if any) would get logged. is it user.log?
