2. z/OS current fix packs HIPER fixes available for installed release of MQSeries - V600, along with recomendations.

Either:

Ask the Sys Prog what they've got running (given that z/OS is unique in allowing multiple versions to be installed and running simultaniously)

Or:

Use the SYSTEM option from the panel, where the version number (IIRC) is in the front of the messages for a given queue manager

IBM and also careful use of SMP/E

If you don't know what SMP/E is then you probably shouldn't be running it. In that case....go ask your friendly z/OS system programmer.
