Hi Everybody,

I am trying to delete the broker using mqsideletebroker command. Before I run this command I stopped the services. But I am getting the following error

C:\Program Files\IBM\MQSI\6.0>mqsideletebroker WBRK6_DEFAULT_BROKER
BIP2321E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1'.
The message broker encountered an error whilst executing a database operation. T
he ODBC return code was '-1'. See the following messages for information obtaine
d from the database pertaining to this error.
Use the following messages to determine the cause of the error. This is likely t
o be such things as incorrect datasource or table names. Then correct either the
database or message broker configuration.
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State ''08001''; Native Error Code '-1032'; Error
Text ''[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued.
SQLSTATE=57019 ''.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State ''
08001'' SQL Native Error Code '-1032' SQL Error Text ''[IBM][CLI
Driver] SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019
''
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the m
essage broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accomp
anying messages to determine the cause of the error.

BIP8040E: Unable to connect to the database.
The database cannot be accessed with the userid and password that were specified
when the broker was created.
Check that the database is running, that an ODBC connection has been created and
that the userid and password pair specified for ODBC connect on the mqsicreate
command are capable of being used to connect to the database using an ODBC conne
ction. Also ensure that the database has a adequate number of database connectio
ns available for use

Plz help me out.

Thanks in advance.

What services did you stop before deleting the broker?.
From the message you posted, it seems like you have stopped the database services too, else check that your database services are running before trying to delete the broker.

............and if DB2 was started, then check the db2diag.log file for relevant error messages.

Recreate the database and try running mqsideletebroker again.

Mqsideletebroker is attempting to connect, so it can delete any rows for any of the tables for this particular broker UUID.

If after recreating the database you get further problems, then you can create a dummy broker using the same database, that way the tables will be recreated.

I think you can then delete both. Give it a try and let us know.

Manually deleting a broker on Windows is tricky because of the Windows service entry. So best try and sort it out cleanly with mqsideletebroker.

If you're using Derby (through DB2 Runtime Client Lite) on Windows, you can use mqsicreatedb/mqsideletedb to create and delete the DEFBKDB6 database.

You can also use mqsicreatedb to create a DB2 database if you are using that
