Hi,
I was wondering if someone can guide me how to save an existing queue managers configuration i.e queue names, channels, listner etc. So that i can create a similar settings on a different computer/environment. Someone has mention savemqgr command, i'm struggling to get this to work as i downloaded the pack from IBM site. Could you help with what i would need to do to in steps to save the setting and run on another computer. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

If you have saveqmgr installed on the same machine as the queue manager, then you can just say "./saveqmgr -m <qmgrname>".
If you have saveqmgr installed on another machine than the queue manager, you have two choices: use saveqmgrc (the client), or configure a default route from a queue manager that is local to the saveqmgr install to the one you're interested in, and then use "saveqmgr -m <localqm> -r <remoteqm>".
This is all laid out pretty well in the 'read.me' file that comes with saveqmgr.
I intend, for some later release, to include a more comprehensive manual that includes basic usage scenarios and possibly even some sample scripts. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
