| IWAS0126E error when connecting to database |

Hi,
Had a problem when connecting to database when trying to create a database definition file in WMB.
The database(DB2) is installed in remote system and Iam trying to connect to that system, The error message is
"IWAS0126E Problems encountered while trying to establish onnection Con1. Reason: 'java.net.ConnectException : Error opening socket to sever
/ 10.237.33.166 on port 50001 with message : Connection refused: connect DB2ConnectionCorrelater: null"
I am using
DB2 version is 8.1
WMB version 6.0.2
Please help me out in this regards. |

1. which driver you are using to connect. 
2. Verify that the remote DB2 host name is prperly configured.

hi,
The driver which iam using to connect is IBM DB2 Universal and the remote DB2 host name is properly configured. |

how Did you confirm it.
please make sure, your database is configured to listen on 50001.
try to connect through your db2 client and verify.
which OS you are using.
