I have installed support pack MS0Q, the Websphere MQ Explorer for Publish/Subscribe plug-in on a Windows XP system. MQ comes up fine and when I start a queue manager from the explorer, I see the Topics folder in the tree. But, when I try to do a controlled shut down of the queue manager, the process hangs and I'm forced to kill the MQ Explorer task. If I do an immediate (-i) shutdown, it works okay.
This appears to be some sort of Java problem. I can uninstall it by removing the support pack from the plugins directory, and all is normal again, so I know that the support pack is the culprit.
Does anybody have any solution to this? _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist

I have been able to reproduce this problem locally and have raised an internal defect to get this fixed - it would appear something is blocking on the UI thread that shouldn't be !
Thanks,

Great, Phil!
I've had high hopes for this as a general admin tool, so I would really appreciate knowing when a fix is available. If you would, just answer back here at that time.
Thanks again! _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist
